Our ministry
Who we are
Outpost Ministries is a group of people who realize that there is a greater purpose for the church than what it has been doing. We understand that in order for the Great Commission to be fulfilled, we must go beyond the four walls of the church building and begin being an outpost to this world. We are committed to fulfilling this purpose by partnering with those who are driven by reaching this world to get the gospel message into as many hands as possible.
Our story
Before we even knew what God wanted us to do, He began to orchestrate our steps and plant seeds of what would eventually become Outpost Ministries.
In September 1945, my grandfather received a Bible while he was in an orphanage with his siblings. He kept it in his house for over 50 years before giving it to me as I went off to Bible college. It was this book that sparked the idea of giving out Bibles. God's plan for our ministry began to grow in our hearts.

In the early fall of 2012, Outpost Ministries was born. An idea likely to be shot down was given the green light. It was simply a Halloween alternative, but we knew it could be more. We knew God had His hand on this, and if we trusted Him with it, His mission would be accomplished.
In 2015 we got the direction we needed. With a little over a week to plan an event, God used our willing hearts to give us the path that we would take going forward. It was then God pieced our past with our future. That piece is the literal Word of God.
Ever since then, we have handed out Bibles at each of our events. We know that the Bible won't likely be discarded. Though it may end up on a shelf or in a drawer, it will be where it needs to be when God quickens their hearts.
What we do now
As of right now, Outpost Ministries has partnered with 18 different churches to hand out over 40,500 Bibles at 56 events. Our goal is to give away 1 million Bibles. To accomplish this goal we need all the help we can get. Here are some ways you can be a part of what we do: Donate - Each Bible package costs us about $2. Volunteer - We need help running events. Pray - The most important thing we need is prayer to help us to do what God has called us to do.
